CBC ‘Complete Bag Control’.  A sack closing system offering the user complete bag control eliminating part sewn sacks.

Integrated automatic sack closing system which grabs the tops of the filled sack from the filling position and presenting it to the sealing head.  Maximum though put is maintained with inverter controlled flat belt conveyors.

Mechanical height adjustable system
The user has added the flexibility when using variable size sacks, through a mechanical height adjustable system. An optional electric height adjustment is available. Touch screen display and Plc control provides a user friendly adjustment application for adjusting timers and monitoring sack rates and error diagnostics. A service option of modem interface for programming and after service via the internet is available.

Suitable to present open mouth sacks to a self-adjusting sack clamp can be fitted to most automatic weighing machines incorporating the following features of bottom of bag pickup and chain drive sack feed Venturi operated open sack and electric drive rotation for presentation arms.

Up to 15 sack per minute and self-adjusting to suit different size sacks. HMI display for changing programs and inverter drives for total adjustment.

Conveyor Specification

The conveyor frame is in mild formed steel with side sections 6mm thick and has a powder coat finish. The geared motor unit is mounted directly to the central driven roller assembly so that no adjustment of the chain tension or maintenance is required. The chain guards fully enclose the sprockets and chains. Our standard manufacturer for conveyor geared motor drives is SEW Eurodrive.

PACE Mechanical Handling Ltd look forward to meeting new and existing customers on Stand No: D74 at the NEC, Birmingham in September. The PPMA Show is a complete production line event and PACE are exhibiting the very latest of their new range of Motoman robotic palletising systems.

The Motoman systems, produced by leading Japanese company Yaskawa, are used for palletising sacks, cartons, crates or any object which requires placement onto a pallet, including chemicals, aggregates, rubber & plastics, food & manufacturing. PACE custom-build a bespoke solution to suit the application and the clients particular requirements regarding space and working schedules.

Space saving solution for animal feeds producer

The requirement

A long established company based in Lincolnshire producing animal feeds had a requirement to find a space saving solution to their palletising problems. The MD commented “With the very large amount of different size and weights of sack being used in the process and the continual change over down time, the old palletiser is costing a considerable amount of time and money and something has to be done”.

The solution

The solution was to replace the old system with a New Motoman ES165D-100 Robot palletising system from PACE Mechanical Handling Ltd. Two robot systems were supplied, one for each bag filling lines with both systems consisting of two pallets on the floor arrangement. By removing the old XYZ style palletiser and replacing with a New Motoman ES165D-100 a significant amount of floor space was saved.

All PACE robot systems have the following standard equipment: 
guarding manufactured by Axelent, safety light curtains by Smartscan, safety circuit by Pilz Co. Ltd., control equipment by Omron. Modems/ethernet hub is fitted as standard for after sales service and planned maintenance contracts.
