The robot arm is the only Second User part of the installation and comes with a full 16-month warranty and comprehensive support package. Each one is fully reconditioned to bring it up to specification, while grippers, conveyors, guarding etc. are new and meet all health and safety legal requirements.

During the last 12 years, PACE have sold and installed over 100 used robot palletisers – having been an agent for Motoman Robots for the last 7 years – with over 20 new robot sales. 

We now have a selection of Second User robot palletiser systems available for sale. These systems can be used for palletising most products, from potato sacks to sand and gravel. All electrics in the PACE panel have been upgraded to the latest health and safety specifications and the ABB robot has been fully serviced.

PACE scoops innovation award at LAMMA

Pace Mechanical Handling has scooped the prize for Best Product or Innovation (Mechanical – Crop production equipment) at the LAMMA Innovation Awards. PACE won for its ‘Complete Bag Control’ (CBC) sack closing system.

The CBC is a closing system that offers users complete bag control, eliminating part sewn sacks. This machine can be used for closing all paper and poly prop bags and most plastic bags. The CBC is suitable to work in the agricultural and animal feed sectors.

LAMMA, now in its 35th year, is the UK’s largest farming and agricultural equipment and service show. With almost 800 exhibitors and more than 40,000 attendees.

The innovation awards highlight the progressive nature of machinery and equipment of the agricultural supply industry.

The aim of the LAMMA Innovation Awards is to draw attention to new ideas, products, techniques, or service excellence.

Star Fuels gets ready for winter

Star Fuels, a subsidiary of Lissen Coal Company, has installed new equipment for enhanced palletizing capabilities in preparation for the approaching winter, provided by PACE Mechanical Handling Ltd.

Star Fuels, a Northern Ireland Coal Merchant, has installed a new Motomon Robot MPL160, which will boost site capability and allow for the more efficient palletizing of 25-40kg coal sacks.

This is the 5th installation for the Northern Irish Company, which continues their commitment to enhanced efficiency and increased output. Pace Mechanical delivered and installed the solution in a matter of days, and the machinery was programmed to suit the needs of the production two days later.

Small and agile: PACE expands its range of MOTOMAN robots with the MH3F

PACE’s smallest type of their “Material Handling” robots is the new YASKAWA MOTOMAN MH3F, a small but powerful and high speed 6-axis robot with a reach of 532 mm.

It is designed for applications with a payload up to 3 kg and is ideally suited when space is at a premium. Typical applications for this robot are pick and place or packaging. Its high repeatability of +/- 0.02 mm also makes it an excellent robot for assembly tasks.

The new MOTOMAN MPL100 4 Axis Robot excels in the application of palletizing cartons of liquid fertilizer in various size cartons.

All programming is through a touch screen display and the vacuum suction head makes easy work of different configurations of carton layers on the pallet. The gripper head has a slip sheet application fitted with distance finder sensor. The MOTOMAN robot is able to achieve up to 15 moves per minute if required.
