PACE Mechanical Handling will launch an innovative new protection system for palletised products at this year’s PPMA Total Show after entering into a partnership with one of Spain’s leading bagging, palletising and wrapping machinery manufacturers.
The exhibition later this month is PACE’s first event since June, when it signed an agreement to represent TMI sl in the UK and Ireland.
Established in 2000, TMI sl offers an extensive range of end-of-line machines, which are used by some of the world’s largest manufacturing companies in 25 countries.
As well as announcing the agreement, PACE Mechanical Handling will use the PPMA Total Show at the Birmingham NEC to show visitors TMI’s latest innovation – ILERBOX – a unique protection system for palletized products.
The ILERBOX automatic wrapping system places a protective layer of corrugated cardboard around the pallet, which is then stretch-wrapped securely to protect the product in transit and storage.
As well as protecting the palletized products, ILERBOX removes the need for human intervention and costly pallet boxes.
“The ILERBOX system from TMI is unlike anything else available in the UK. We are very much looking forward to talking to PPMA Show visitors about it and our own range of robotic palletizing and mechanical handling solutions,” says Nick Cesare, managing director at PACE Mechanical Handling.
As well as selling TMI’s solutions, Nick and his team at PACE will provide a complete after-sales support package, including installation, servicing and engineer support.
“We have been designing, installing and servicing automated packing solutions since 1996 and have worked with a wide range of companies across agriculture and food production through to aggregates, chemicals and animal feed manufacturers, amongst others. All of our current customers are very successful small to medium enterprises, whereas TMI works with global brands,” continues Nick. “Being able to offer TMI’s machines alongside our range of robotic solutions puts us in a completely new league, and we’re really looking forward to seeing where this new relationship takes us.”
PACE Mechanical Handling has been at the forefront of robotic and automated end-of-line packaging solutions since 1996. The company, which is based near Spalding in Lincolnshire, specialises in designing and integrating robotic handling solutions to increase productivity.
Thanks to its long-standing partnership with Motoman of Japan, PACE Mechanical Handling offers a wide of robots, from pick and place up to specialist heavy lifting models. By having its own team of fabricators and software engineers and extensive experience in designing and installing complete production lines, Nick and his team can deliver everything from a small automated packing robot to a complete turnkey solution.
