After 26 years in business, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of robotic and automated packing solutions to farmers and vegetable packers will make its debut at LAMMA 2023.
PACE Mechanical Handling will be on stand 952 in Hall 8, showcasing its range of robot palletizers, weighers, sack placers, and stitchers.
Having recently completed its 250th installation and having been appointed the sole UK and Eire importer, distributor and service partner to TMI sl, PACE’s director, Nick Cesare, thinks now is the ideal time for the company to appear at LAMMA.
“Over the last couple of years, we’ve seen a dramatic increase in enquiries and orders from packers and growers looking to increase efficiencies and cope with labour shortages,” says Nick. “Historically, our business has grown due to word of mouth and recommendations from happy clients. This is very much still the case, but we feel that our partnership with TMI takes us to another level, and we’re keen to really promote ourselves to growers and packers. LAMMA is the perfect place to start doing that.”
Established in 2000, TMI is one of Spain’s leading bagging, palletizing and wrapping machinery manufacturers, offering an extensive range of end-of-line machines, which are used by some of the world’s largest manufacturing companies in 25 countries.
Visitors to PACE’s stand at LAMMA will be able to find out about TMI’s latest innovation – ILERBOX – a unique protection system for palletized products.
The ILERBOX automatic wrapping system places a protective layer of corrugated cardboard around the pallet, which is then stretch-wrapped securely to protect the product in transit and storage.
Like all of PACE’s packing solutions, ILERBOX reduces the number of people required and lowers the number of costly pallet boxes used.
“The ILERBOX system from TMI is unlike anything else available in the UK. We are very much looking forward to introducing it to people at LAMMA. As well as ILERBOX, we will also be showcasing our own range of robotic palletizing and mechanical handling solutions,” adds Mr Cesare.
PACE uses four core products to develop reliable, efficient and cost-effective automated packaging and palletizing solutions: the Gemini twin head weigher, Orion Weigher, Orion Weigher and sack placer and the CBC sack placer and stitcher line.
Thanks to its long-standing partnership with Motoman of Japan, PACE Mechanical Handling offers a wide of robots, from pick and place up to specialist heavy lifting models. By having its own team of fabricators and software engineers and extensive experience in designing and installing complete production lines, Nick and his team can deliver everything from a small automated packing robot to a complete turnkey solution.
PACE’s solutions have proven popular with packhouses and vegetable growers wanting to introduce on-farm packing with the combination of increased throughput and reduced staffing requirements being faster and less expensive than traditional packing methods.
