Pace Mechanical Handling To Launch Unique Pallet Protection System At PPMA Total Show

PACE Mechanical Handling will launch an innovative new protection system for palletised products at this year’s PPMA Total Show after entering into a partnership with one of Spain’s leading bagging, palletising and wrapping machinery manufacturers.

The exhibition later this month is PACE’s first event since June, when it signed an agreement to represent TMI sl in the UK and Ireland.

Next month’s exhibition is PACE’s first appearance at an agricultural show since signing an agreement to represent TMI sl in the UK and Ireland in June.

Established in 2000, TMI sl offers an extensive range of end-of-line machines, which are used by some of the world’s largest manufacturing companies in 25 countries.

As well as announcing the agreement, PACE Mechanical Handling will use the Midlands Machinery to show visitors TMI’s latest innovation – ILERBOX – a unique protection system for palletised products.

The ILERBOX automatic wrapping system places a protective layer of corrugated cardboard around the pallet, which is then stretch-wrapped securely to protect the product in transit and storage.

Like all of PACE’s packing solutions, ILERBOX reduces the number of people required and lowers the number of costly pallet boxes used.

By introducing robotic packing, it is possible to reduce the number of people needed, increase throughput and lower downtime.

 

PACE has been designing, installing and servicing automated packing solutions since 1996 and in that time has worked with more than 200 fresh produce growers and packers, automating the packing of potatoes, carrots and onions, among other crops.

Thanks to its long-standing partnership with Motoman of Japan, PACE Mechanical Handling offers a wide of robots, from pick and place up to specialist heavy lifting models. By having its own team of fabricators and software engineers and extensive experience in designing and installing complete production lines, Nick and his team can deliver everything from a small automated packing robot to a complete turnkey solution.
